Onlinepccare is not a Scam

“The truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end; there it is.” – Winston Churchill

It is very much true indeed, that Truth has its own existence, and is not dependent on others' knowing. For quite some time now, I have been observing plenty of 'scams' being reported against Online PC Care. Now before I proceed any further in my defense against these baseless reports, I would like to get all of you acquainted with this term, 'Scam'.

What is a Scam?

To quote the Webster's Online Dictionary, a 'Scam' may be defined as 'a fraudulent business scheme'. If we go by the above definition, then Online PC Care cannot be termed as a 'Scam'. As you may know, Online PC Care is owned by Pecon Software Limited. The company is based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It is a tech support company which offers its services in India, and all over the world, via remote support technology. Neither has any customer ever reported that Online PC Care has not delivered, what it had promised, nor, has anyone ever reported that Online PC Care has taken money, and not delivered its services. Thus, Online PC Care can be anything, but a 'Scam'.

What are the accusations against Online PC Care?

There are several blog owners who have claimed that Online PC Care is a Scam. These are the major points they focus upon –

1) Online PC Care does cold calling & claims to be Microsoft – This is not true. Online PC Care never cold call anyone by the name of Microsoft, or any other reputed concern. They really don't need to. They only do telemarketing calls via tech agents, and not any automated recorded message. Moreover, they have their own helpline numbers where the customers call, and seek their support.

2) Online PC Care asks for card details – Another baseless claim! All payments are made through 3D secure payment gateways. There is no need for anyone to share their card details. You can visit the payment page of Online PC Care for confirmation.

3) Online PC Care steals secret information from computers – This is a complaint made by people who are not acquainted with the concept of remote support. In remote support, you need to grant the technician, remote access to your computer, by sharing your network. It is done so that the technician can remotely operate your computer, and repair it, without having to visit your place. This technology has been invented to give you instant PC support, and not steal information from your machine.

4) The Web of Trust shows a poor report card of Online PC Care – Yes it is true that WOT shows a poor report card of Online PC Care. I would not like to express any doubt regarding the accuracy and efficiency level of WOT; rather I would like to show you some more reports of Online PC Care, by two other websites, with higher page ranks and Alexa ranks. Have a look at the following links –

http://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?url=www.onlinepccare.com

http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/www.onlinepccare.com

To summarize –

Norton Safe Web – “Norton Safe Web found no issues with this site”

McAfee Site Advisor – “We tested this site and didn't find any significant problems”

5) The Guardian Report – This is probably the biggest accusation against Online PC Care. Pecon Software Limited was running another PC support website, named www.supportonclick.com, prior to the launch of Online PC Care. As per the July, 2010, Guardian report, supportonclick was cracked down by UK police for making cold calls by the name of Microsoft, to UK customers. This incident took place as there were some complaints reported to the UK-Police against this website.

But the case remains unresolved till date. Neither were any further actions taken by the UK Police, nor were any more reports published by the author of the Guardian Report. Moreover, the UK Police were too ignorant to answer any sort of queries. This proves that the claims hardly had any base. If Online PC Care had been a Scam, they would not have been still in business.

Why are there so many scam reports against Online PC Care in the internet?

Well, there are many answers to this question. Firstly, if you are successful in your life, you will know that your competitors don't spare you, once any of your weak points is revealed. The same goes for Online PC Care too.

Secondly, you must have seen that most of these scams have been reported by blog owners. Their sole motive behind publishing these scam reports is getting negative publicity for their blogs, which helps them earn free traffic. Sadly, some people are too innocent to believe them.

Internet has come of age over the years. Its usefulness is no longer limited to just communication or social networking. It has now become a huge platform for business. Internet is considered as the biggest and the most economic platform for business promotions. Most major business firms and companies have their own websites in the internet, which let them reach out to millions of users, without much of an investment.

If you are an internet marketer, then you will know how important it is to have a hassle free and uninterrupted internet connection. An interrupting internet connection can lead to loss of potential customers. If the website fails to load properly or quickly, customers may lose concentration and leave your site without having a serious look at what you are advertising. Issue #1

Broken links are probably the most common problems. This makes the content of the page appear totally distorted, and visitors lose interest after the first visit.

Issue #2

Downtime can also cause serious damage to the reputation of your website. If your site remains inaccessible to the visitors most of the time, then they do not tend to return for the second time.

Issue #3

Limited Bandwidth is also a common website problem. If you expect your website to generate serious amount of visitors, then you cannot afford to deal with limited bandwidth.

Solution

In order to resolve these issues, first of all you need to make sure that you support your website with unlimited bandwidth. Unlimited Bandwidth allows you to upload and download more files and graphics. It also facilitates you to control more traffic.

Secondly, you should not rely on free hosting. If you want good security and stability for your website, you should subscribe to paid hosting services.
