For quite some time now, I have been observing plenty of 'scams' being reported against Online PC Care. Now before I proceed any further in my defense against these baseless reports, I would like to get all of you acquainted with this term, 'Scam'.
What is a Scam?
To quote the Webster's Online Dictionary, a 'Scam' may be defined as 'a fraudulent business scheme'. If we go by the above definition, then Online PC Care cannot be termed as a 'Scam'. As you may know, Online PC Care is owned by Pecon Software Limited. The company is based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It is a tech support company which offers its services in India, and all over the world, via remote support technology. Neither has any customer ever reported that Online PC Care has not delivered, what it had promised, nor, has anyone ever reported that Online PC Care has taken money, and not delivered its services. Thus, Online PC Care can be anything, but a 'Scam'.
What are the accusations against Online PC Care?
There are several blog owners who have claimed that Online PC Care is a Scam. These are the major points they focus upon –
1) Online PC Care does cold calling & claims to be Microsoft – This is not true. Online PC Care never cold call anyone by the name of Microsoft, or any other reputed concern. They really don't need to. They only do telemarketing calls via tech agents, and not any automated recorded message. Moreover, they have their own helpline numbers where the customers call, and seek their support.

5) The Guardian Report – This is probably the biggest accusation against Online PC Care. Pecon Software Limited was running another PC support website, named www.supportonclick.com, prior to the launch of Online PC Care. As per the July, 2010, Guardian report, supportonclick was cracked down by UK police for making cold calls by the name of Microsoft, to UK customers.
But the case remains unresolved till date. Neither were any further actions taken by the UK Police, nor were any more reports published by the author of the Guardian Report. Moreover, the UK Police were too ignorant to answer any sort of queries. This proves that the claims hardly had any base. If Online PC Care had been a Scam, they would not have been still in business.
Why are there so many scam reports against Online PC Care in the internet?

But the case remains unresolved till date. Neither were any further actions taken by the UK Police, nor were any more reports published by the author of the Guardian Report. Moreover, the UK Police were too ignorant to answer any sort of queries. This proves that the claims hardly had any base. If Online PC Care had been a Scam, they would not have been still in business.

Pocket PC, or shortly PPC, is a type of hand-held sized computer. The Microsoft Windows Mobile Classic Operating System runs on it. It can carry out many of the operations,performed by a desktop PC. As per the standards, the Pocket PC should feature a touchscreen,touch pad, hardware application buttons. Also it should run on Microsoft's Windows Mobile edition. The hardware of the Pocket PC consists of AEM version4 compatible CPU.

Microsoft Launches Hide & Seek Game for Hotmail Users
Microsoft has launched a unique name game for Hotmail account holders. The news declared on 3/2/2011 states that Hotmail users can make alias email addresses to protect their main email account from notorious commercial websites.
It can be explained very simply. Take for example you create an alias email address named jackthesinger@hotmail.com, in order to protect your main email address johntanner@hotmail.com.
Then you visit a shopping site to take a virtual tour. And for that, you are asked to sign up for free. You might be in two-minds to share your main email account. It is because signing up with them means regular emails from them, saturating your inbox.
This is where your alias email account comes into play. You can sign up with your alias email address, jackthesinger@hotmail.com, in the website. You will retain all the emails that are sent to your alias account. They will be stored in a private folder in your main account, johntanner@hotmail.com. That is if you wish to retain.
Dharmesh Mehta, Director, Windows and Windows Live Division Microsoft Redmond, comments in a blog, "There are a bunch of websites that will email you price quotes, sales alerts, etc. During your car search, these messages are helpful, but once you're done, they become clutter that can be difficult to stop. By using an alias on these websites instead of your main email address, you can avoid this. And when you're done, just turn the alias off, ensuring future unwanted messages that are sent to that alias don't land in your inbox."
In Google mail, users are given the facility to add a plus sign to their account. For example, if your original email id is kurtlawson@gmail.com, you can fake it as kurtlawson+admin@gmail.com, and receive all emails sent to the alias in the original. Those mails will be either star marked or stored in the trash folder. But Mehta has discarded the concept as backdated and easily detectable.
With implementing novel concepts like POP, ‘sandboxing’, ‘active views’, Microsoft has indeed come of age; and, is looking good for many years.
